This property does not have direct road access. The most
practical and commonly used way to reach the cottage is by
boat, a 3-minute ride from the village of
Lac-des-Seize-Îles. It is also accessible on foot via the
path, though the path does not accommodate any motorized
vehicles.
Parking:
There is a public parking lot for residents in the village.
Parking passes are available free of charge from the
municipality.
Note on Mapping:
You may notice a road labeled Chemin de la Montagne on
Google Maps, located far behind the property. Please note
that this is a private road owned by Gestion Denis Laurin
Inc. and 9439-1059 Québec Inc., and not publicly accessible.
Potential Alternative Access (Not Currently in Place):
There is a neighbouring property (lot 5 708 457) that has
had access in the past. However, establishing road access
via this route would require negotiating servitudes,
involving lot 5 708 457, as well as rights of passage with
lots 5 710 343 and 5 710 520. This process would require
collaboration with a notary, potential involvement of the
municipality, and possibly geotechnical analysis. I am
unable to assist with this process, as it falls outside my
scope as a real estate broker.
The majority of cottages on Lac-des-Seize-Îles are
accessible only by water or on foot; only about 30% have
road access.
In winter, once the lake is safely frozen, the cottage can
be accessed by snowmobile or ATV. It is no longer
considered safe to drive on the lake by car, due to climate
change and fluctuating ice conditions. Until the ice is
properly frozen, the footpath remains the only option.
